In its first five years, Calm Company Fund has raised four funds and invested in over 77 companies. The firm has a diverse investor base, including private investors, general partners of other funds, and successful founders of calm companies. This unique composition allows the fund to invest in ways that differ from traditional early-stage investors, often leading or being the sole investor in many of its investments.

Before establishing the fund, he founded and successfully exited Storemapper, a SaaS product that he grew from a side project to a profitable business over five years. Tringas is also the creator of the Shared Earnings Agreement (SEAL), reflecting his commitment to founder-friendly investment structures. His experience as a founder and his innovative approach to funding have been instrumental in shaping the philosophy and operations of Calm Company Fund.

Calm Company Fund, originally known as Earnest Capital, was founded in 2019 with the mission to support entrepreneurs building sustainable and profitable businesses. Recognizing a gap in the funding landscape for companies that did not fit the traditional venture capital model focused on hyper-growth, the firm introduced the Shared Earnings Agreement (SEAL) to provide a more aligned investment structure.

Over the years, the firm has evolved, rebranding to Calm Company Fund to better reflect its focus on “calm companies.” This rebranding signified a commitment to fostering an ecosystem that prioritizes long-term success, mental and physical well-being of founders and teams, and sustainable business practices.

As of early 2024, Calm Company Fund has raised four funds and invested in over 77 companies. The firm continues to innovate in the investment space, introducing strategies such as providing founder liquidity for more mature companies with annual recurring revenues between $1 million and $10 million. This approach allows founders to de-risk personally while continuing to grow their businesses sustainably.
