Earl Grey Capital raised a £20m fund in May 2022.

Earl Grey Capital is run by Amit Vasudev, Alex MacCaw, and Matt Sornson. They co-founded Clearbit together.

Founded in 2020, Earl Grey Capital is a venture capital firm based in Austin, Texas. The firm seeks to invest in early-stage technology-enabled companies with a focus on application programming interfaces, protocols, developer tools, and infrastructure across web2 & web3 sectors.

Why we’re doing this

We believe there’s a seismic shift in venture capital and that we represent it.

Microfunds outperform and founders want funding from other founders, especially in the earliest stages.

Founders now have the capital, stage-relevant experience, and tactical network to be significantly more valuable in the early stages of company building.
