Pitch Deck Review Summary

Structured Summary Review

Words

There aren’t enough words to explain anything.

Slide length

It is far too short.

Headers

They don’t even have headers occasionally.

Appearance

Sure, there is design, but the content is crap.

Narrative

There isn’t one.

Structure

Sure, the slides are generally structured well, but the content is crap.

Slides

They don’t cover almost anything investors are interested in. This is a dumpster fire of a deck.

Slide by Slide Review

Use widescreen format for your slides (16:9)- you get a lot more space.

The slide is sort of OK, but one of the key things I want to see on the cover is the company name so I know who this deck is for. They have theirs in the top left.

Don’t put the page number on the cover slide.

If you start with the team, you are making a point that the team are baller. I don’t know any of these people and there are no bullets on each person.

Who is the CEO? Who are the founders investors are betting on? The senior people seem to be at the bottom. It looks like people are in order by name, not seniority. This is not the time for that namby pamby BS.

No. This is the kind of slide that one sees in a demo day presentation.

This is the definition of a crappy slide. Do not do this.

You HAVE to have a header. It’s the most important thing on a slide.

We are on slide 4 now. Do you know what these guys do? I don’t. It is something to do with travel and insurance.

Yeah, the world is changing, but so what. The point of your deck is to explain to investors what the implications are for your business to be in a great spot to invest in and why. This slide is missing a huge SO WHAT!?

It’s just a crap slide.

I honestly can’t fathom how they raised $12m with this deck.

This slide has almost zero information on it. Mind bogglingly terrible.

Another terrible slide. I just can’t write much more than that.

What the FLARK is this shizzle?
