BRD Series-B

This is the BRD pitch deck to raise a $15m series-b round in 2019.

The funding comes from SBI Crypto Investment, a subsidiary of Japanese financial services company SBI Holdings (formerly a subsidiary of SoftBank). BRD said the funding will allow it to grow its product and engineering teams, and to expand in Japan and across Asia.

About

BRD designs, develops, and markets financial software. It offers a platform that delivers crypto purchasing, commercial register, credit rating information, management, figures, contact and news, trading, and merchant services.

BRD serves customers worldwide. Aaron Voisine and Adam Traidman founded it in 2015, with its headquarters in Zurich in Switzerland.

BRD, the blockchain startup that grew to a $100 million valuation with big customers like Deloitte and KPMG, was once a small cryptocurrency app called Breadwallet that launched in Apple’s App Store in 2014.

Over the years, the company renamed itself: First to Bread, and then in 2018 to just BRD. It expanded its services, offering a new set of blockchain tools called Blockset for the financial, medical, and creative industries. Now, BRD’s technology makes it easier for developers to build apps that can send health information securely, track music and art for any copyright infringements, or send money transfers via the blockchain.

In October 2019, the company raised $750,000 from cryptocurrency firm Ripple, bringing the total amount it has raised to $54.75 million, according to funding database PitchBook. In September, the company told Business Insider it is now valued at $100 million.
