Create a custom YouTube subscription link to get more subscribers
Do you have a Youtube channel? Want subscribers? Well, why not make it easy for your prospective Youtube viewers to sign up to view your content? You want to build a YouTube subscription link then!
I just set this up to integrate a YouTube subscription link onto my site. you can see this here with my subscriptions to my podcast links:
So when you press the Youtube button you go straight to youtube and a popup appears like this:
How do I do this? Well, my link looks like this (But I have a custom link):
https://www.youtube.com/c/50folds?sub_confirmation=1
Don’t worry… I’m going to explain this all now. There are a few different ways to do this, so use the right one for your setup.
Normal (No custom link)
- Get your youtube link. If you don’t have it…
- Go to Youtube and click on your account in the top right (Log in first if you haven’t)
- Click on Settings
- On the right hand side of “Name” there is a little link called “Advanced”
- Then you can see “Account Information.” Nice. You want the “YouTube Channel ID.” In my case it is UCKQtTkbTxNTYXWWeCuRJO1w
- You want to stick your channel ID at the end of this: https://www.youtube.com/channel/
- So it looks like this and you are done: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKQtTkbTxNTYXWWeCuRJO1w
- Add the special code
- At the end of your yourtube channel link, simple copy and paste this to the end: ?sub_confirmation=1
- So now your channel link looks like this: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKQtTkbTxNTYXWWeCuRJO1w?sub_confirmation=1
Congrats you have a YouTube subscription link! Simple right!
But obviously, that is super ugly! So use Pretty Links. If you want a step by step guide to make a custom link, you need to read this blog.
Custom URLs
My URL doesn’t look crappy like the one above, right? https://www.youtube.com/c/50folds
I have a custom URL. If you have one too, then these are the steps for you:
- Get your youtube link. If you don’t have it…
- Go to Youtube and click on your account in the top right (Log in first if you haven’t)
- Click on Settings
- On the right hand side of “Name” there is a little link called “Advanced”
- Then you can see under Channel Settings” your custom URL. In my case it is https://www.youtube.com/c/50folds
- Add the special code
- At the end of your Youtube channel link, simple copy and paste this to the end: ?sub_confirmation=1
- So now your channel link looks like this: https://www.youtube.com/c/50folds?sub_confirmation=1
But obviously, that is super ugly! So use Pretty Links. If you want a step by step guide to make a custom link, you need to read this blog.
help me get more subscribers, the only way I can think of is putting a link at the end of my videos for them to know to subscribe…. without I don’t know if they would do it.
