Natively integrated with GitLab, GitHub, and Bitbucket, Gitpod automatically and continuously prebuilds dev environments for all your branches. As a result team members can instantly start coding with fresh dev environments for each new task – no matter if you are building a new feature, want to fix a bug, or work on a code review.
Founded in 2019, the German startup allows developers to automate routine procedures needed to set up and maintain their online workspaces, leaving them free to focus on the task at hand.
“Our vibrant open-source community enables developers to treat environments as automated but customizable resources they can spin up whenever they need them, and close down and forget about when they are done with their task,” said Sven Efftinge, Gitpod cofounder and CEO.
The firm said the funding would be used to fine-tune the platform’s automation capabilities, as well as to expand its open-source community and establish new partnerships.
