Love with Food Pitch Deck to Raise Seed Capital Investment

This is the pitch deck Love With Food used to raise their $1.4m seed capital investment from investors. Love With Food is a marketing and market research platform for CPG food brands. They were founded in February 2009.

They raised from Kapor Capital, 500 Startups, TEEC Angel Fund, Angel List Syndicate led by Yun-Fang Juan, Ironfire Capital, Scrum Ventures, Tom Peterson of El Dorado Ventures, and Talmadge O’Neill of Juvo Capital.

About

Love With Food has a simple concept — you pay $10 a month and you get a box full of snacks. If you like the snacks, you can learn more about them on the company’s website and even order more of them. It’s basically applying the Birchbox subscription commerce model to food, and providing organic or natural snacks to customers.

It is a marketing platform that collects product intelligence data for consumer food brands trying to reach female consumers ages 25-45. Our platform helps brands send out their products to our community of highly engaging foodies who pay a small monthly fee to discover new, organic, all-natural products at their door and collect product feedback. By bridging an offline and online experience, LoveWithFood’s technology helps consumer brands cut their marketing and research costs by 99%.

LoveWithFood client list includes General Mills, Nestle, Green and Blacks Organic Chocolate, SoyJoy, Lindt Chocolates and many more.

For every snack box delivered, Love With Food donates a meal to feed a hungry child in America. To date, Love With Food has donated more than 250,000 meals to feed hungry children in the U.S.

Each of its regular boxes has between six and eight snacks each, and the company recently introduced a Deluxe Box for $20 a month. And with each box, the company also donates a portion of the proceeds to fight childhood hunger in the U.S.

Right now, the company makes about 60 percent of its revenues from sales of its subscription boxes, with another 20 percent coming from sales of goodies that happen on its website, as subscribers go beyond samples to buy full-size packages of goodies they’ve enjoyed.
