Here’s the slide deck the MySQL team used to raise its $16 million Series B round back in 2003, ultimately selling it to Sun Microsystems for $1 billion. In this B round the MySql pitch deck helped them raise $16m from Benchmark Capital and Index Ventures.
Mårten Mickos, famously known for scaling MySQL into a tech giant published a short post on his Facebook feed about the slide deck MySQL used to raise back in 2003. Robin Wauters from Tech.eu opportunistically was able to get Mårten to share his book, I mean deck. By book… it’s almost 190 slides!
