This is the Quinyx pitch deck to raise $40m from investors that include Battery Ventures, Alfvén & Didrikson, and Zobito, in 2019. Note, they don’t say what the round is. This is my logical guess.

Quinyx is the market leader in the Scandinavian region when it comes to Workforce Management. Workforce Management is a resource-intensive task that is prominent in most companies. Quinyx’s web-based system provides support for scheduling, time reporting, task management, budgeting, and forecasting. We are driven by the belief that the management of staff can be made much more efficient and fun!

Erik Fjellborg was flipping burgers at a McDonald’s in Sweden when he saw the hassles a restaurant manager had to deal with managing schedules and shifts.

“Every time someone wanted to book a shift or swap a shift, the manager had to go back to the back office with this huge telephone list and started to dial around for replacements, which could take hours,” he told Business Insider.

Fjellborg was then a high school student with a passion for computers, and his McDonald’s stint sparked an idea, software to help businesses manage a workplace better. He was only 18 when he launched Quinyx in 2005.

The startup offers AI-powered cloud software for scheduling, absence management, and improving business operations, by analyzing all of its data. Quinyx’s core focus is shift-based or “flexible” workers, including but not limited to those operating in the fast-food industry. Clients include McDonald’s, London City Airport, Burger King, Rituals, Swarovski, IHG and Boots. The software’s feature-set includes scheduling, shift planning and swapping, timesheet functionality via workers checking in using Quinyx’s mobile apps and budget forecasting.
