A short list of the startups that used an investment memo rather than a pitch deck to raise.

Two are lame (one I didn’t bother to even make a post, but listed so you know I am aware of it).

It took me a lot of time to find these.

Airbase, a spend management platform, raised a $60m Series B to expand its product capabilities and increase its market reach.

Argyle raised $20m Series A to capitalize on its leadership in providing employment data, aiming to expand service offerings and enhance technological capabilities for better accessing and using employment records.

Mistral AI raised a €10.5m seed to enhance its library of AI models, expand its team, and increase its business development efforts.

On Deck raised a Series A funding round led by Founders Fund to expand their fellowship programs, invest in community and platform, and accelerate their mission to support career-oriented ambitious professionals.

Rippling raised a $45m Series A funding round led by Kleiner Perkins to revolutionize HR and IT by automating employee management tasks through a unified platform.
