Robocorp pitch deck to raise $21m Series-A round
Back To The CollectionThis is the Robocorp pitch deck to raise a $21m series-a round in 2021.
About
Robocorp is a cloud platform for robotic process automation (RPA) and open source RPA tools. Robocorp’s RPA approach provides developers the cloud native, open-source tools to bring RPA into their organizations without the burdensome constraints of existing offerings
Robocorp has closed a $21 million Series A investment round in its bid to bring open-source tool-sharing and communities to the booming robotic process automation (RPA) market.
The round was led by Canvas Ventures with participation from Benchmark, Uncorrelated Ventures, Slow Ventures, Firstminute Capital, Harpoon Ventures, Artisanal Ventures, Haystack Ventures and angel investors in the intelligent automation and open source space.
Robocorp gives developers and companies a platform where they can build automated bots to do tedious office tasks using coding and expertise shared by a community of developers.
The RPA industry is growing like crazy, and is expected to surpass $3 billion this year. Heavyweight independent firms like Automation Anywhere, UiPath, and Blue Prism battle Microsoft for leadership in the sector. But big companies can be difficult for developers and small businesses to afford and collaborate with, and that’s where Robocorp hopes to catch on.
The San Francisco startup with Finnish roots (and offices in Helsinki) says its suite of open-source automation tools and its cloud-hosted platform have been adopted by more than 1,000 organizations in the past six months.
“We have seen incredible growth in our developer community and partner ecosystem over the past year,” CEO Antti Karjalainen said in a statement. “It’s been our goal to make Robocorp the most widely available, flexible, and powerful way to build and deploy bots.”
Along with the funding round, Robocorp is releasing a new Robocorp “control room” where customer can store, build, and monitor their automation projects and products.
Investor Grace Isford, a Canvas Ventures partner and Robocorp board member, said the company’s tech “rivals that of massive RPA incumbents.” She said “Robocorp’s robust partner ecosystem and open-source community democratize complex automation technologies.”
