This is the SafeGraph pitch deck to raise a $45m series-b round in 2021.
About
SafeGraph builds and maintains data sets to help accelerate machine learning and AI. Its high-precision places data covers business listings, building footprints, and aggregated foot traffic data for millions of points of interest (POI) and thousands of brands in the US and Canada. With detailed brand affiliation, spatial hierarchy, and other key business details, SafeGraph data informs market analytics, investment research, site selection, and more.
SafeGraph, the business-to-business startup helping companies make the most of location data, just raised $45 million in a Series B funding round led by Sapphire Ventures.
The round was also backed by existing investors, including the billionaire tech investor Peter Thiel.
Founded in 2016, the California company has more than 6 million “points of interest” locations across the US and Canada, and uses data collected by other app partners, which users have consented to sharing their data with, to better understand where and when people are moving around.
“What stands out about SafeGraph is how they’ve been able to quickly position themselves into a major player in the geospatial data industry,” said Cathy Gao, a partner at Sapphire Ventures.
The round was also backed by angel investor Alex Rosen, of Ridge Ventures, and DNX Ventures. The firm now plans to launch operations in the UK next month.
