Sisu Pitch Deck to Raise $52.5 Series-B Funding

This is the Sisu pitch deck to raise $52.5 Series-B funding from NEA and Andreessen Horowitz. Sisu has raised a total of $66.7 million in funding.

About

Sisu is the fastest and most comprehensive diagnostic platform for structured data. Based on years of research at Stanford University and proven at scale at Microsoft, Facebook and Google, Sisu’s diagnostic analytics platform combines machine learning and powerful statistical analysis to help anyone get answers to their toughest business questions.

Sisu is a cloud startup that uses AI to help companies process massive amounts of data to quickly gain useful insights for running a business. Sisu started as a research project at Stanford, where Bailis is a computer science professor. His goal was to figure out “how do we make machine learning, not just more accurate, but also more useful.”

It’s a hefty challenge. In fact, it was when he explained what he was doing to his mom that she said it would take a lot of “sisu” — Finnish for “grit.”

“You need a lot of grit to essentially leverage the amounts of data inside an enterprise to put it to work,” Bailis, who grew up in Nebraska and got his PhD from UC Berkeley, said. “It’s a massive computational challenge. It’s also an organizational challenge.”
